Deaf Ministry

Our Deaf Ministry started in 1981, and our first church service was on Easter morning, April 17, 1982.

At the present time, we have three interpreters and two in-training.  All of our services are interpreted for the Deaf in American Sign Language.

Lynn Valentin, one of our Deaf men, teaches a sign language class a few weeks each year to those who want to learn to communicate with our Deaf members.

We occasionally have Deaf gatherings for food, fun, and fellowship.  A highlight for many of the Deaf in the surrounding area is the Saturday before Thanksgiving to meet at Doug and Dee Campbell's home for the annual Deaf Thanksgiving meal and fellowship.

If you have Deaf family members or friends, we invite them to come and fellowship with us here at Berean Baptist Church.
